Finding storage for all the paint, papers, brushes, ribbons, and much more is a real conundrum for many. Having a dedicated space is a luxury, and many people have to create multi-tasking areas where they work. For me it is a dining-room/office/craft room. I dream of the day I can have a dedicated room where I can snip, splash and glue and not have to clear it all away because my relatives are coming for lunch and prefer a formal dining room to our breakfast room…
SAVE MONEY! All of these ideas are using upcycled furniture and they are fab. It proves you can make something out of nothing.
I found this amazing workroom by Cathe at ‘Just something I made‘. It is a makers heaven, a huge space, the neatest storage and everything clearly visible and accessible. She created the space from an old barn on her property, here is a before and after:
Being a bit OCD about neatness I do like order, Cathe’s storage makes me want to cry, it looks amazing!
Lots of Cathe’s storage came from Craigslist and other bargain hunting stores. It proves you do not have to spend a fortune on custom made storage space to create great results.
I love this room by Karen from Sew Many Ways, unlike Cathe’s colourful room she has kept it all monotone. There are lots of tips on how she did the storage, and I am heading for my shed now to make a start as a lot of the items are things lying around most houses.
